How to Use the Add-on Loading JSON Generator
When installing add-ons on a dedicated server (BDS), simply placing the pack folder there isn't enough. In the world folder, there is world_behavior_packs.json and world_resource_packs.json It only becomes active once you enter the pack_id (UUID) and version of the pack you want to use. As the number of packs increases, it’s easy to make mistakes when copying UUIDs or get the order of dependencies wrong. This tool reads mcaddon, mcpack, and zip files directly and automatically generates the necessary JSON.
Procedure
- Load mcaddon, mcpack, zip, or manifest.json files (you can load multiple files at once).
- View the list of detected behavior packs and resource packs.
- Copy or download the two generated JSON files.
- The pack itself
behavior_packsandresource_packsExpand to, and JSONworlds/(level-nameのフォルダ)/I'll put it there. - Restart the server.
Points to Check
- The level-name (as set in server.properties) must match the folder name within the "worlds" directory.
- Ensure that the dependent packs are loaded first (this tool will reorder them).
- Make sure there are no errors in the startup log stating "Package not found" or "Version mismatch."

Frequently Asked Questions
What do the `world_behavior_packs.json` and `world_resource_packs.json` files do?
This file specifies which add-ons to load into the server (BDS) world. List the pack UUIDs (pack_id) and versions side by side. Place it in the world folder (worlds/world_name/).Behavior packs are listed in `world_behavior_packs.json`, and resource packs are listed in `world_resource_packs.json`.
Which files should I include?
You can import .mcaddon, .mcpack, and .zip files as-is (even if they contain multiple packs, the system will automatically detect them). You can also select a standalone manifest.json file or a pack folder. The imported files are processed entirely within the browser and are not sent to any external sources.
Does the order of the packs matter?
Yes. If one package depends on another, you must list the one being depended on first. This tool reads the `dependencies` section of `manifest.json` and automatically arranges them in the correct order.
"world_behavior_packs.json" already exists.
Please paste the contents of the current file into the "Load Existing List" field. Update any entries with the same UUID to the new version, and leave the other packs as they are.
What's included in the "server package"?
This is a ZIP file organized according to the "world" folder structure. It contains world_behavior_packs.json, world_resource_packs.json, and the folders for each pack (located inside behavior_packs/ and resource_packs/). You can extract it directly into the server folder.
